Terms of Service

1. Agreement to Terms
By booking a ride, submitting a quote request, opening a corporate account, or using any service provided by Black Tie Car Service ("Company," "we," "us," or "our"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree, please do not use our services.
These Terms apply to all clients including individual passengers, corporate account holders, executive assistants booking on behalf of others, and event planners coordinating group transportation.
2. Services
Black Tie Car Service provides professional chauffeur and ground transportation services including, but not limited to, airport transfers, corporate executive travel, event transportation, long-distance rides, and hourly as-directed service throughout Greater Los Angeles, the Bay Area, and the state of California.
All services are subject to vehicle and driver availability. We reserve the right to substitute a vehicle of equal or greater class if the originally assigned vehicle becomes unavailable due to mechanical issues or other circumstances beyond our control.
3. Reservations & Confirmations
- All bookings are subject to availability and are only confirmed upon receipt of a written or electronic confirmation from Black Tie Car Service.
- It is the client's responsibility to provide accurate pickup and drop-off addresses, flight numbers, and passenger counts at the time of booking.
- Changes to confirmed reservations (time, location, vehicle class) must be communicated to our dispatch team as early as possible.
- We are not responsible for missed pickups resulting from inaccurate information provided by the client.
4. Pricing & Payment
- All quoted prices are fixed and confirmed at the time of booking. We do not charge surge fees.
- Additional charges may apply for extra stops, excessive wait time beyond the complimentary grace period, tolls, parking fees, and gratuity (at client's discretion).
- Corporate accounts are invoiced monthly. Payment is due within 15 days of invoice date unless otherwise agreed in writing.
- We accept major credit cards, ACH, and wire transfers. All payments are processed securely.
- Late payments on corporate accounts may be subject to a 1.5% monthly service charge.
5. Cancellation Policy
24+ hours before pickup: Full refund. No cancellation fee.
4–24 hours before pickup: 50% of the trip cost will be charged.
Less than 4 hours before pickup: 100% of the trip cost will be charged.
No-show: 100% of the trip cost will be charged.
For special events, World Cup bookings, and pre-allocated fleet programs, custom cancellation terms will be outlined in your service agreement. All cancellations must be communicated directly to our dispatch team by phone or email.
6. Wait Time & Flight Tracking
- For airport arrivals, complimentary wait time is included: 30 minutes for domestic flights and 60 minutes for international flights, measured from the actual landing time.
- Wait time beyond the complimentary period is billed at our standard hourly rate, prorated.
- We monitor flights in real time and adjust your chauffeur's staging automatically — you are not responsible for airline delays.
- For non-airport pickups, your chauffeur will wait up to 15 minutes at no charge before the booking is considered a no-show.
7. Passenger Conduct
- Passengers are expected to treat our chauffeurs and vehicles with respect. Abusive, threatening, or disruptive behavior will result in immediate termination of the trip with full charges applied.
- Smoking, vaping, or use of illegal substances in our vehicles is strictly prohibited.
- Damage to vehicles caused by passengers will be charged to the client. This includes cleaning fees for excessive mess or spillage.
- All passengers must wear seatbelts at all times.
8. Limitation of Liability
Black Tie Car Service shall not be liable for delays or failures in performance resulting from circumstances beyond our reasonable control, including but not limited to: traffic accidents, road closures, natural disasters, acts of government, extreme weather, or mechanical failure.
Our liability for any claim arising from a single trip shall not exceed the amount paid for that trip. We are not liable for any indirect, consequential, or incidental damages.
We carry high-limit commercial liability insurance as required by the California Public Utilities Commission (CPUC). Certificates of Insurance are available upon request.
9. Confidentiality
All Black Tie Car Service employees and chauffeurs are bound by confidentiality agreements. Client identities, destinations, companions, and conversations are never disclosed to third parties. This is a condition of employment, not an optional policy.
10. Governing Law
These Terms of Service are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the State of California, without regard to its conflict of law provisions. Any disputes arising under these Terms shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts located in Los Angeles County, California.
11. Changes to These Terms
We reserve the right to update these Terms of Service at any time. Changes will be posted on this page with an updated "Last updated" date. Continued use of our services following any changes constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.
